Knight Trenching & Excavating, Inc. is a family owned and operated D/MBE (Native American) business. We began our operation in 1951. Knight Excavating has a legacy of outstanding performance on heavy, civil projects in many sectors and regions. With our office in Lenexa, Kansas, we are centrally located to efficiently complete projects in several locations.   We serve contractors throughout Kansas and Missouri, including the Greater Kansas City area, St. Joseph, Lawrence, Topeka, and Wichita, as well as Southeast Missouri, Oklahoma, and Nebraska.

Since our inception in 1989, Knight Excavating has grown its fleet of equipment and exceptionally, talented team into an impressive, well-respected business. During our years in both the private and public sectors, we have completed an extensive range of significant projects. Our portfolio displays a diverse set of excavation contracts that includes commercial and industrial site preparations for general contractors, municipalities and private developers.
